Stock Market Drops
This page is just useful information to investors, it is not directly related to Sharepricer program which
is used to valuate individual companies.
There is a following 'simple' rule in investing: buy low, sell high.
This table shows how much certain stock indexes have fallen from their all
time high values. A big fall sometimes means the market has reached 'low' levels.

Here is some explanation of the columns.
- "Index Name" contains a short name of the index and a
link to the
latest values of the index or sometimes some other relevant link.
- "Description" contains a few words to describe the index.
- "All Time High" shows the peak value of the index and the date when that
peak was reached.
- "Low after ATH" is the lowest point
that the index has visited after reaching the previous all time high value.
From this and "Value Now" field you can see how much it has already recovered.
- "Value Now" is the latest updated value of the index. Indexes that stay flat are usually updated
less often.
- "Now Down" shows the percentage drop between all time high and current value.
The table is sorted by this field.
- "1 Pt Market Cap" shows how much one index point is worth when calculating the total value
of the market in question (in millions of euros). This value
should change only with currency fluctuations and when new companies are
added to or removed from the index.
All the shown index values may be either closing values or mid-day trading values.
